Somehow, someway, we made it to the last week of the semester. By the time you are reading this, I will be on reading period. My university gives us the Thursday and Friday before finals “off” to study and work on projects.
Meaning, I will be knee-deep in essays, projects, jury videos, and studying for exams. That being said, this semester has been my best academically, also the least stressful. Which is weird. I am not looking a gift horse in a mouth, but I feel like some of the grades I have been getting should be a little bit lower.
Weird. That would be a good adjective to describe this semester. I feel good going into reading period and finals. I know there’s going to be a lot of work in the next two weeks. Not much downtime, and deadline after deadline.
But then it’s over and I get a month off!
On the last day of finals week, my university is going to announce its final plans for the spring semester. I don’t have strong beliefs either way on what I think they are going to say, I don’t even have super strong opinions on what I want them to say. Based on what they say, will determine a lot of things in terms of life and my content for the first five months of the new year.
Regardless, things will be different next semester. Likely some good, likely some bad, but overall just different. The thing is, I won’t truly know until I am in the middle of living it.
Other than that, school is going well. Life is going well. The music is going well. Content is going well. There’s a lot of cool opportunities popping up all over the place in regards to a lot of things. I am excited for the semester and the year to be over, so the new ones can begin.
